On October 18, in dormitory of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University №17 the Department of Kazakh Linguistics organized a meeting with Abitzhanov Orynbasar Altynbekovich, Head of Internet Acquiring Department of Sberbank JSC Subsidiary Bank and Aliya Sultanbaeva, Senior Project Manager for the faculty students. The meeting topic was “ABC OF FINANCE”.
On September 12, 2021, the Faculty of Philology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a leadership lecture on the topic "Kazakhstan: the territory of peace and friendliness." The given lecture was a part of the whole series of the educational event devoted to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our country which are organized by the faculty. The lecturer was Shaimerdenova Nursulu Zhamalbekovna, Doctor of Philology, Professor, member of the NES ANC, member of KazPRYL.
On October 11 2021, in dormitory of the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University No 17 there was a meeting of the students of the Faculty of Philology with Nurzhan Amirkhanovich Akhmedov, police Lieutenant colonel, the 1st-year doctoral student of M. Esbulatov Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Ten Ainur Alexandrovna, police Major. The meeting topic was “Problems of countering extremism".
On September 21, 2021, the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a round table "LANGUAGES AND CULTURE IN POLYETHNIC KAZAKHSTAN", devoted to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and the Day of languages of the People of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 11, 2021 No. 689 "On approval of the list of holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan is celebrated on September 5 alongside the significant holidays.
On September 1, 2021, at 15.00 p.m., the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a Leadership Lecture for the faculty students, master students, PhD students via video and audio calls on ZOOM platform.
The date for document submission for enrollment in universities has been prolonged until August 28 inclusive.

We are preparing to start this year in a traditional format and inform you about the procedure for allocating places in the Student Houses of the university campus. The check-in procedure will be carried out in accordance with the Rules, based on decisions of the faculty commissions. Students over 18 years of age must be vaccinated against COVID-19 (except for those with contraindications). Accommodation in Student Houses will be provided in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards. Undergraduate, undergraduate and doctoral students apply online.
