On February 11, 2021 at 12 o'clock on the ZOOM platform, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized the lecture delivered by Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Mubarak Umbetayev for teachers and students of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages. The lecture topic is ​​ "Zhambyl – genius of poetry". Mubarak Umbetayev is a scholar studying Suyunbay, Zhambyl’s heritage, the author of several scientific works.

   He told about interesting facts from the great poet’s biography and his role in the development of Kazakh poetry. He also shared the latest achievements in the field of studying Zhambyl’s creative works. He noted that Zhambyl is a poet who will always be remembered by the Kazakh people. At the end of the lecture teachers and students asked questions to the lecturer.

   This lecture aroused a great interest among students.
