On May 12, 2023 the annual Bagizbayev Readings (XIV), on the topic: «Topical problems of modern philology: theoretical problems and applied aspects» dedicated to Academician Maya Mikhailovna Bagizbayeva were held. This year the event was held in a round table format. The purpose of the event was to discuss current problems of modern Russian philology and promote the philological heritage of Bagizbaeva Maia Mikhailovna.
Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Alexander Georgievich Kovalenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Russian and Foreign Literature of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Karina Nazirovna Galay, Ph, D., head of the department of analysis and foreign literary relations of M. Auezov Institute of literature and art, Ananyeva Svetlana Viktorovna and the scholars of the department of Russian philology and world literature Shaimerdenova N., Zhaksylykov A., Abisheva U., Dzholdasbekova B took part in the given event. During the round table the problems of modern philology were touched upon. The participants also discussed the role of M. Bagizbaeva in science. The event program included watching the film about M. Bagizbaeva.
