"TED x"

The teachers of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Maukeeva A.O., Iskakova A.T., and Ospan A.O. together with the students of the first and second courses of the Faculty of Geography organized "TED x" conference. The main goal of the conference was to improve the students’ leadership and public speaking skills, as well as to discover innovative ideas. During the conference, six students spoke and defended the reports on their topics. The lecturers of of Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty and and Geography Faculty, Auzerkhan G.S., Baiseitov D.A., Yesenamanova K.N., Merkibaev T.A. took part in the conference. Foreign students also participated in the conference.
In general, the various ideas raised by the conference participants not only made the audience think, but also encouraged students to freely express their opinions and share their thoughts in public. The conference helped them fully reveal their inborn abilities. This conference has fully achieved its goal. Holding such events contributes to developing students’ leadership qualities, oratory skills, to discovering new talents and to promoting innovative and fresh ideas.
