"Intonation of the Epoch: unforgettable meetings with A.L. Zhovtis"

On April 5, 2023, the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies, as well as the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the organizers of the Epoch and Personality project held a round table conference on the topic: "Intonation of the Epoch: unforgettable meetings with A.L. Zhovtis". Kazakh literature history lecturer, a literary scholar and a translator, Kairat Zhanabayev was the honored guest and the meeting speaker. The moderator was a Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, the executive director of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies, Shaimerdenova Nursuly Zhamalbekovna.
During the meeting, Kairat Zhanabayev told how he met Alexander Zhovtis and how he influenced his life path and future career decision at the age of 14. At this time, during Alexander Lazarevich’s lectures, a future linguist and literary scholar, Kairat Zhanabaev’s cultural and national thinking started taking shape.
