Within the implementation of the university project in cooperation with the United Nations and the achievement of sustainable development goals, on March 11, 2023, the lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Otetileuova and A. Shayahmet held the "Gender Equality" videoconference in English. The event was held online on the Zoom platform; active participants and attendees were undergraduate students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies from Kazakhstan and China, as well as the Hangkuk University of Foreign Studies and Busan National University.
"Gender equality is a 'hot' topic all over the world" (Batyr Tulewkhan, Erdawlet Hakim, Akbota Zhanadil, Alina Zikiryayeva, Sayora Rasulova, and Nursaya Nurlankyzy), "Gender inequality in the digital world" (Aigerim Nauanova), Famous Women of Kazakhstan (Aisulu Abdrahman), Gender Equality in South Korea (Liya Pak), Women in Politics (Zhibek Bakhytova), Gender Equality in Kazakhstan (Dmitry Vasilyev, Dana Shunimova, and Anel Aibekova) – all these topics were presented both by team and individually; fascinating speeches were made with analysis, examples, and interesting facts (Akerke Kalmukhambetova); controversial situations were discussed there (Talgat Zhumagazin, Sultangalior Kurasbek). Many participants and attendees expressed their support with their background posters, and no one remained indifferent to the acute topic of the modern time.
