On November 30, the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a literary evening on the topic: "An amazing life story of Gabvit Musrepov", dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the famous Kazakh writer, hero of Socialist Labor, classic writer, Gabit Makhmutuly Musrepov . The evening was organized by the A. Baitursynuly Kazakh Linguistics Department.

   The poet, the director of S. Mukanov and G. Musirepov literary and memorial museum-complex in Almaty, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Adilgazy Kairbekov, the actor of the G. Musirepov Youth and Children's Theater, the Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, the laureate of "Kurmet" Order , the winner of "For Excellence in Labor" medal, Kadyrbek Demessinov, the laureate of Serper " Kazakhstani Youth Union, Asset Imangali, the winner of "The distinguished people in the field of culture" award, Yesenzhanova Gulzia Sarsenkyzy were the evening guests.

Gabit Musirepov is a person whose life was rich in events and whose creativity left the brightest trace in the history of our literature. The guests of the evening told about the writer’s creative works, the interesting and contradictory moments of his biography. They also told about the unknown aspects of the writer's life. The guests gladly answered the questions asked by the students, master’s degree and PhD students studying the literary works by G. Musrepov. The guests shared the information about the works carried out in the writer's museum. The head of the museum presented several valuable books to the university library, and the theater artists performed the songs which allowed creating a wonderful atmosphere in the event.

The atmosphere of the event was warm and friendly. The students and the teachers who attended the evening were able to learn a lot of new and interesting information about G. Musrepov’s life path and creativity. The communication with the distinguished people of our country gave many positive emotions to the audience.

The organizers of the event were the associate professor of A. Baitursynov Department of Kazakh Linguistics  Kulzhanova Bakytgul Raikhanovna and the 1^st year master’s degree students of A. Baitursynov Department of Kazakh Linguistics  majoring in “Kazakh philology”.
