The monograph: “Folklore and mythology of Turkic People” by Maulenov A.A., the associate professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature, candidate of philological sciences, the director of Zhambyl Research Center of Kazakh Folklore and Literature, was awarded Kultegyn award given by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the significant achievements in the field of Turkology. The monograph is devoted to the study of the place and the continuity of the traditions of ancient Kazakh mythology in a new light the roots of which go to Sumerian civilization at various stages of Kazakh literature development.
