"My poetry, if I die, you live" - Mukagali Makatayev sang and loved his work with all his heart. For 45 years of his existence, the poet has captured his worldview, poetic nature on a sheet of paper, left his indelible mark on Kazakh literature. From early childhood in his life there were many difficulties, despite this, he was fascinated by poetry. With this act, he urged the current generation not to give up and go towards their dreams.

         In accordance with the goals of the state program of the Head of State "Madeni Mura", the anniversaries of such akyns are celebrated at a high level, and in any educational institution such events are held without fail.

         Our Kazakh National University keeps up with the organization of these events and always introduces its students to the life and work of outstanding personalities of our history. 1st year students of the Higher School of Economics and Business, including those studying in Logistics and State and Local Administration, held an event "Mukagali Makatayev - Poetry of Soul and Heart". The event took place on December 10, 2021 on the Zoom platform. Despite the difficulties of the online lesson, our students were able to open themselves from a new perspective. The event was presented in three languages.

The spectators of the event were students of M.Kh. Dulati Taraz Regional University, A. B. Yeseeva, the senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the University of the same name, , and students of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University. Candidate of philological sciences Aisultanova K. A. and senior teachers of the department of "foreign languages" Aliyarova L. M., Makhazhanova L. M. and Tleugabylova Z. A. highly appreciated the event and noted the interest in poetry shown by the students.

Mukagali's poetry has unique properties of national poetry and human existence. Inspired by his poetry, our students at the event expressively read the poet's poems and sang songs. Omarkulov Kurbanalibek, Dinmukhamedkyzy Zhanerke and Kasymkhanova Zhanerke held the event in English, Kazakh, Russian. Zhusupova Aida and Kydyrbaeva Nazerke found and shared rare information about the poet.

The poet's legacy, his amazing poetry is the eternal, heartfelt, revered legacy of future generations. We know that the generation that has realized this will protect our country in the future, improve the position of our state, connect the past with the future, and then achieve all the goals set.
