1st year students of the specialty “Economics”, as part of the “100 kitap” project, held an event dedicated to the work of Sabit Mukanov “Omir mektebi”, where they shared his impressions of books.
1st year students of the specialty "Economics" together with adviser I. Kuliev held an event on the topic "Al-Farabi muralary zhane onyn kazyrgy zamanmen sabaktastygy", dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of al-Farabi through the ZOOM application.
On April 6-7, the International Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Farabi alemi" was held at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The topic of the conference on the direction of the Higher School of Economics and Business is "The economic development of Kazakhstan in the framework of the project “One belt, one way”: alternative views of scientists".
On March 27, 2020, the XII Republican student subject Olympiad in the specialty “5B051100-Marketing” was held at the HSE&B Department of “Business technologies”. The Olympiad was held online via the Zoom app. In the final round of the Olympiad, each team entered the draw and presented their decision on the case study. The Olympiad was attended by 21 participants from 6 Universities in 4 regions of Kazakhstan. In total, 7 applications were submitted from different Universities of Kazakhstan to participate in the Olympiad 7 teams took part in the second round of the Olympiad.
On March 24-25, 2020 the international conference "Integration of higher education and corporate sector in the new social environment" on the dispersion of the ENINEDU 574060-EPP-1-2016-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP project supported by Erasmus+ Capacity Building in higher education was held. Due to the declared pandemic, ban on entry to the Russian Federation and holding mass events, the final conference of the project was held online. In total, more than 20 online connections of teams of both consortium members and partners from other universities and business sector were organized during the conference. We thank all those who took part in such difficult conditions and hope for successful development of the project results.
On March 27, 2020, the Department of Management of the Higher School of Economics and Business at al-Farabi Kazakh National University held the XII Republican student subject Olympiad on the specialty “Management” on the topic “«Management» in the context of Industry 4.0”, dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great scientist Abu Nasr ibn Muhammad al-Farabi in online format (through the Zoom platform).
According to the results of the «QS World University Ranking by Subject 2020» Al-Farabi KazNU has improved its performance and strengthened position. This rating, along with other specialties, for the first time included the specialty «Economics & econometrics» (451-500).
As part of the project "Aynalandy nurlandyr" senior advisers of the Department of "Economics" Kuliev I.U. and Turarov D.R. with students held a charity event at the orphanage "Amanat" in Akzhar, Almaty.
