On April 21, 2023, the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of Al-Farabi KazNU, Ushkempirov B.A., Zhubanova K.Kh., Kuralova A.T. and Yermakhanbet N.R. organized an event on the topic "Affordable and environmentally friendly energy" within the framework of "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" UN Program in the "Red Hall" of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The 1st year students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as well as a student of the Faculty of Medicine and Health from Sudan, Emadeldin Abdalla Hassan Elamin took part in the event.
The purposes of this event were:
to popularize a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation;
to awaken their concern about our environment;
to encourage enthusiasm for work and study;
and to strengthen friendship between peoples.
Al-Farabi KazNU students, together with our guest from Sudan, prepared presentations, videos and games on a given topic. They adapted a world-famous fairy tale on the topic of ecology and shared interesting information. KazNU teachers expressed their opinion and thanked the students for their interesting reports. The event was very interesting, informative and each student learned something useful from this meeting. The round table was conducted both offline and online on the ZOOM platform in Kazakh and English.
