«Earth Day 2023»

On April 22, 2023, the lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Shayahmet and A. Otetileuova hosted the “Earth Day 2023” event within the University's “Green Campus” program. The freshmen, sophomores, and juniors of the Faculty of Oriental Studies took an active part and tried to demonstrate the necessity of saving our Mother Earth. Using their own hand-made posters, performing on the stage, singing songs, and reciting poems, students tried to convey immediacy to preserve and protect our Earth for future generations. Second- and third-year students majoring in "Foreign Philology" made special videos dedicated to Earth Day with the clear message "Save the environment!" Educational event in English, launched in 2010, has being held annually, and every year the number of participants increases, as the topic is becoming even more acute.
