On Feburary 17, the students of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with their mentors visited Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Theatre for Youth and and Children to see the theatrical production: “White Ship” that was staged by Chingiz Aitmatov’s literary work. There were also foreign students from Turkmenistan who are majoring in “Russian language as a foreign language”.
On February 17, 2023, the senior teacher of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory of the Faculty of Philology of Al – Farabi KazNU, Sabira Matai and the students studying in the specialty: "Two Foreign Languages" organized the educational event on the topic: « Journey to China».
On February 16, 2023, the Department of Foreign Philology of Al-Farabi KazNU and "TARZHIMAN" young translstors’ club orgaized a creative meeting with the famous translator, writer, literary critic Aslan Zhaksylykov at the Faculty of Philology.
On February 14, the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages held the educational event with the 1st year students of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty studying in the specialties: Robotics and Mathematics.
From February 13 to February 18, 2023, the teacher of A. Baitursynov Kazakh linguistics Department of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi KazNU Sh.A. Ramazanova was a jury member of city-staged General- education -subject Republican Olympiad organized by the «Almaty Daryn» center.
On February 13-15, 2023, Daryn Scientific and Practical Center held the third (regional) stage of the Republican Olympiad for schoolchildren for 2022-2023 academic year.
Candidate of Philological Sciences, Acting Professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Bolatkhan Sarbasov won The best university’ teacher – 2022" grant of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On February 9, 2023, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a round table on the topic: "Topical problems and prospects for Kazakh Folklore development", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the famous scholar, folklorist, candidate of philological sciences, police Colonel, Sovetkhan Tleubaev.
On February 8, 2023, in Room 517 at the Faculty of Chemistry, the senior teacher, Bazarbayeva A.S. conducted a demo lesson with the students of group TFP 211 using active learning methods . The demo lesson topic was: "Scientific text compression".
On February 8, 2023 in the creative hall of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University library, a literary and aesthetic evening was held dedicated to the memory of the poet, Mukagali Makatayev. The topic of the evening was: “Memories about me will be written”. The evening was organized by students of the 201st group majoring in Kazakh philology and Akhmet Baitursynuly Department of Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology. The students of "Kazakh Philology" major, the library staff and the guests from student organizations visited this event.
