Literature is a treasury of world and national culture. In the current difficult life conditions we sometimes forget about its role and significance in our life. Through literary works, we can trace important historical milestones in the life of any state. Reading literary works, we not only broaden our horizons, but make our inner world richer and brighter. Plunging into the world of prose or poetry, we rethink our life priorities and make our focus on universal human values ​​in the first place. In this regard, on October 29, 2020, on the ZOOM platform, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory held an online conference dedicated to topical issues of modern literary theory. The conference was devoted to the 70th anniversary of the prominent scholar of Kazakh  literary theory, academician of Ch. Aitmatov International Academy of Social Sciences, Bisengali Zinol-Gabden Kabiuly, who made a significant contribution to the development of the study of the genres of prose, poetry and journalism of Kazakh literature from the viewpoint of the latest paradigms of modern philology.

On October 26, 2020, on the occasion of Abu Nasyr al-Farabi`s 1150th anniversary, the world famous thinker, philosopher, sociologist, mathematician, physicist, astronomer, botanist, linguist, logic, musician, the meeting of the «English time» club was held on the topic "al-Farabi - a great thinker", organized by the senior teachers of the department of Foreign languages ​​Akylova G.S. and Duysenbaeva Sh.S.

On October 23, 2020 within the framework of the project "Spiritual rebirth", the leader of the "Movie Fans" club, senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages, Tleugabylova Z.A., held an online screening and discussion of the film "King Arthur” in English The screening and discussion of the film was held according to the club's plan among the 1^st year students of the specialties "Management" and "Economics", the Higher School of Economics and Business.

Today, under pandemic conditions, the concept of a healthy lifestyle has become a top priority for many people.

On October 21, 2020, the leaders of the Club: the Lovers of English Songs held the annual meeting on the ZOOM online platform. The senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​- Mussanova G.A., Orazayeva G.A. organized the event. Theme of the event was “Contemporary English Music". The members of the Club were 1^st year students of 101, 102, 103, 104, 107 groups of the Faculty of Law, specialties "Jurisprudence" and "Law Enforcement", the Kazakh department.

In the article "Abai and Kazakhstan in the XXI century", President Kasym-Zhomart Kemelovich said that "Abai's legacy is a precious value that allows us to unite as a nation and develop as a country."

From 6 to 7 October the Faculty of Philology and World Languages, held an international online jubilee conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Professor E.D. Suliemenova's  pedagogical activity  at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and her 75th birthday on the Zoom platform.
