On February 25, 2021, at 14.00 Zh. Dadabayev, the Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Abai of Al-Farabi KazNU, Abai -studies scholar delivered the lecture on the topic “ Abai's creative  work research fundamentals” within the project: Professor’s hour. The lecture was devoted to the review of Abai’s creative work’s research. Doctors and candidates of philological sciences, PhD students, undergraduates and students of Kazakhstani universities attended the lecture. The recorded version of the lecture is available here:

       On February the 24^th, 2021, the members and participants of the “English Club of Songs Lovers” held the meeting on the ZOOM online platform.

       On  February 23, 2021 within the framework of “100 books" project of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University  the teacher of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature E.E. Khairusheva organized the theatrical art evening.

It was under this name that the first workshop, organized by the Belgian Educational Council, started. Our university has become a partner of the international educational movement "Cyber-educator", the goal of which is to expand the professional competencies of teachers working in an online learning environment and improve the effectiveness of the quality of education using innovative methods. 

On February 22, 2021, Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies held a festive event dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh poet Zhambyl Zhabayev. The 1st year students of the specialty “Journalism” and “Foreign Philology” took part in the organization of the online conference. They spoke three languages at the conference. The students prepared the informative and bright presentations, accompanied by the interesting comments, which allowed them to discover the most significant historical facts from the famous akyn’s life.

On February 21, 2021, the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an event from the series “Scientific Conversations” on the topic “Professor O.A. Sultanayev: Bridges of friendship and creation”. The event was held with the participation of the Children’s Book Academy “Altair” and the team of the scientific and Educational project “Epoch and Personality” in an online format on the Zoom platform.

In the modern world, languages are essential for development, education, and communication, and they need not only to ensure the person identity, but also to provide intercultural dialogue, promote cooperation, create and preserve cultural heritage. Every year since 2000, the International Mother Language Day, proclaimed by UNESCO, has been celebrated to cultivate linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.

On February 20, 2021, within the framework of the English Talking Club, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor U.B. Adilbayeva and a senior teacher G.A. Gaіipova, organized a discussion on the topic of rapidly developing technologies - informatization, online courses for students.

At the faculty of philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University there was another lecture within the project: “Professor hour”. The professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, the doctor of philological sciences, Temirgaly Orazgalievich Temirbekov delivered the lecture. The lecture topic was: “The bases of philological text analysis”.

On February 17, 2021 the senior teacher of the Russian Philology and World Literature of the Faculty of Philology, Kakisheva N.T. together with the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Information Technologies of the specialty "Actuarial Mathematics" held an event dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of the great public figure and educator, Alikhan Bukeikhanov.
