On March 5, 2021, at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University, Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Doctor of Economics, Acting Professor Rimma Sagiyeva was awarded the badge of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Meyirim" for her contribution to strengthening public harmony and national unity. On March 4, 2021, at 17.00, the Department of "Business Technologies" of the Higher School of Economics and Business of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an online lecture with the participation of Professor of the Budapest Metropolitan University in Hungary, Vice-President of the European Logistics Association, member of the Kazakhstan Logistics cluster Alfonz Antoni. The meeting was held on the Zoom platform. The topic of the lecture: "The impact of the pandemic on the supply chain". This lecture gave the audience an opportunity to learn about the views of a foreign professor in the field of supply chain management and the problems faced by international enterprises during the pandemic. This lecture gave the audience a lot of explanations on questions about effective methods of supply chain management during the pandemic.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University improved its performance and strengthened its position according to the results of the “QS World University Ranking by Subject 2021”, where more than 1,200 world universities are ranked in five different subject areas. Compared to last year, KazNU significantly improved its performance in the “Arts and Humanities”, going up from the 277^th to the 156^th place and in “Social Sciences and Management”, from the 351^st to 257^th place.

On February 26, 2021, the Higher School of Economics and Business hosted an online seminar organized by the Young Scientists Council on the topic: “Submit cannot be throwed. Practical advice on writing a dissertation ”. Seminar speaker: Satpayeva Zayra Tolegenkyzy, PhD. Senior Researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Department of Regional Economy and Innovative Development.

Students of the specialty "Logistics" of the Department "Business Technologies" of the Higher School of Economics and business will take part in the Youth Forum of Transport Workers "KAZLOGISTICS", in which prominent figures in the transport industry of Kazakhstan and students of transport universities of the country take part. The organizer of the forum is the Union of Transport and Logistics Organizations and Associations "KAZLOGISTICS". These forums provide an opportunity for students to "plunge" into the professional environment, hear the speeches of the logistics guru from the "first hand", participate in start-up contests and compete in braing rings.

The Department of Business Technologies together with the staff of DAMU Logistics held an online meeting with 1-4 year students of the Logistics specialty. At the online meeting, speaker Mr. A. Anishev, curator of the DAMU training center, manager for the implementation of online projects, shared practical information on the topic "Integrated logistics: from import of goods to their implementation." The main purpose of the meeting is to familiarize students of 1-4 courses of the specialty "Logistics (by industry)" with detailed information on integrated logistics, employment and practical training, the formation of practical skills of students.
