The Department of Management of Al-Farabi KazNU together with the Department of Economic and Mathematical Modeling (EMM) of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RF, Moscow) held an International Meeting on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the participation of students and teaching staff of the department. The speakers of the discussion were the Head of the Department of EMM Balashova Svetlana Alekseevna with a report on the topic “Inequality of Opportunities as a Barrier to Sustainable Development” and Ph.D. countries of the European Union).

The issues raised during the speeches of the speakers on the issue of inequality of opportunity, as well as sustainable development through the concept of a circular economy, aroused genuine interest among the entire audience.

They were also discussed by the heads of two departments - Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Management of KazNU Turginbayeva A.N. and Balashova S.A. - prospects for future cooperation in the educational process, in particular, improving the current joint double degree program in the direction of "International Project Management", the possibility of scientific collaboration between scientists from two universities, as well as other academic events of universities.
