In the 15th issue of the newspaper "Qazaq universiteti" dated April 24, 2023, an article by Professor Dr. Aijaz A. Shaikh"Discovering New Horizons: A Visit to Kazakhstan for Research and Teaching" was published. He shares in the article his experience of staying in Kazakhstan and cooperation with al-Farabi KazNU. Professor from the School of Business and Economics at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland https://www.jyu.fi/fi @uniofjyvaskyla) was invited by the Department of Management. During the first semester he delivered a series of lectures and conducted seminars on the topic “Understanding the digital business and digital economy for sustainable growth in Kazakhstan”, as well as training sessions, master classes and consultations for undergraduates, doctoral students and teaching staff of the Higher School of Economics at the al-Farabi KazNU, including on increasing publication activity in rating journals.

In April, Professor Aijaz A. Shaikh took offline part with a report on "The paradigm of sustainable economic development in the context of global change: challenges, consequences, opportunities" at the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference.

Summarizing the article, Professor Dr. Aijaz Sheikh expresses his gratitude for the hospitality he received during his visit and notes that the university, as a leader in higher education not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also in the international space (QS-150), creates all conditions for fruitful research and teaching activities of university staff.
