From April 09 to April 14, 2023, the XV Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the disciplines "Economic Theory", "Microeconomics", "Macroeconomics", "Enterprise Economics" was held at the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University within the framework of the OP "6B04102 – Economics". The RSPO has been held annually (once a year) since 2009. The purpose of the Olympiad: disclosure of creative abilities, selection and support of the most talented and gifted students; assistance in the formation of the intellectual potential of students; involvement of students and young scientists in solving scientific problems of our time; development of interest in scientific activity.

The Olympiad is held in 2 stages: stage 1 (university) and stage 2 (republican). The university stage of the RSPO was held among students studying at our university, as a result, two teams were formed: "Capital" and "Leaders of the Economy". The republican stage of the RSPO is held at the L.N.Gumilyov ENU and in the first round, students passed the correspondence selection of participants based on the results of the assessment of essays on the disciplines of the Olympiad. The second round was held in full-time format on April 14, 2023 in Astana. 81 students from 20 universities of the republic participated in the full-time format: L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, E.A.Buketov Karaganda University, Narkhoz University, KazATU.S.Seifullina, Atyrau State University named after H.Dosmukhamedov, Turan-Astana University and others. The full-time participation of the teams that passed the 1st round was conducted in the form of testing and solving applied problems in the disciplines of the specialty. As a result , according to the results of the competition commission , the winners of the Olympiad were:

3rd place – the team "Leaders of Economy"; Kuanyshbekova Anel, Kayranbaeva Zhansaya, Otegenova Aliya, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, heads: senior lecturer Ilashova Guliya Kenzhebekovna, PhD Boluspaev Shalkar Amanzholovich

1st place – "Capital" team: Bekmuratova Ulzhan, Doshmakhan Gulzhaina, Esirkep Aldiyar, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, heads: Candidate of Economics, Acting Professor Dauliyeva Galiya Rakhmetovna, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Andabayeva Gulmira Kenzhegalievna.
