Development of intercultural dialogue and people’s mutual understanding

On April 20, 2023, within the framework of pedagogical practice, the event “Nauryz Meiramy in Kazakhstan and Sakura Blossom Festival in Japan O-Hanami” was held. First year Master students organized this event for 3rd year undergraduate students of "Management" specialty. The event was attended by international guests from Japan who participated online. Students and guests from Japan were acquainting with Kazakh customs and rituals, national dishes and tradition of the Nauryz celebration. Guests from Tsukuba University introduced our students to the celebration of O-Hanami - a national Japanese tradition of admiring a blossom of sakura flowers. The cherry blossom festival has been held in Japan for many centuries, and today it is celebrated in almost all public and private squares and gardens.

Conducting ethno-cultural events contributes to the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of peoples and regions. In addition, it contributes to the development of tourism and the economy of the region, and also it develops of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding between peoples.
