Graduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University solemnly celebrated the traditional Day of graduates on May 25, 2019.

Graduates of different years gathered at the Triumphal Arch "Mangіlіk El".

The II Forum events were attended by university’s graduates of different years, representatives of government agencies, the scientific community, the business community, partner universities from Kazakhstan, CIS and foreign countries, representatives of diplomatic missions in the Republic of Kazakhstan, teachers and students of the university.

Guests and graduates laid flowers at the monument to al-Farabi and the monument to U.A. Zholdasbekov.

After that, there was a grand opening of the II Alumni Forum in the Students' Palace, where the mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baybek read congratulations on behalf of President Kassymzhomart Tokayev.

The rector of KazNU, academician Galym Mutanov, head of the Senate Office of the Parliament Serik Sydykov, vice-speaker of the Majilis of the Parliament Gulmira Isimbaeva, great humanist of the modernity Olzhas Suleymenov, vice-minister of internal affairs Rashid Zhakupov, director of the department of the MES RK Adilet Toybaev, director of “Astana Group”  Nurlan Smagulov and other famous graduates made a welcoming speech.

Prominent public figure, publicist Olzhas Suleimenov, rector of the Eurasian Humanities Institute Amangeldy Kusainov, Kazakhstani scientist and public figure Rakhman Alshanov, general director of the First Eurasia Channel Sergey Kiselev, Director of "Bіlіmdі el" newspaper Lyazzat Turkestanova were awarded a medal of KazNU titled “Eren Enbegi Ushin”.

The aim of the Graduation Day is to raise and strengthen corporate spirit and solidarity. Our university is like a second home, which always has its doors open for graduates.

In accordance with tradition, after the Gala concert a meeting of graduates were continued at the Higher School of Economics and Business.

Dean of HSEB Sagieva R.K. presented the Hall of Fame of the Famous Graduates. The solemn opening took place with participation of different year’s graduates. Cutting of the ribbon was given to honorable graduates Shedenov U.K., Dyusembayev Kh.Sh., and Zhatkanbaev Ye.B.

After the ceremony, there was a round table, where graduates shared their memories about student years, own experience and presented their books. In addition, there was a presentation of scholarships and gifts of anniversary graduates.

By tradition, Doctor of Economics, Professor Aubakirova Zh.Ya. nominated scholarships of Aubakirov Ya.A. to students of the Economics department in the amount of 200,000 tenge. Graduates Economics department presented a scanner. Also, PhD Mukhiyeva D. Gave a scholarship in the amount of 50 000 tenge. The holder of the grant "The best teacher of 2018" Sadihanova G.A. nominated a scholarship of 250,000 tenge. The jubilee graduates of the Finance Department contributed 200,000 tenge to the Endowment Fund. 

Anniversary graduates of the Accounting and Auditing department presented laptop, speakers, printer, also, awarded scholarships to the best students of the department in the amount of 100,000 tenge.

Graduates of the Management and Marketing department presented 3 laptops and 3 projectors, and also awarded scholarships to the best students of the department in the amount of 300,000 tenge.

During these events, guests met with faculty members, participated in a coffee break, conducted a photo session, visited new cluster etc.

Graduation Day ended with a Grand Ball of graduates in the Al-Farabi library.
