Erasmus + ENINEDU project reported about European experience in HEI and business sector integration at the meeting of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council

On March 2, 2019 in the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meeting of the Republican Educational and Methodical Council was held on the theme "The organization of the educational process in universities in conditions of reforming the education system". The meeting was attended by the rectors and vice-rectors of more than 40 universities of Kazakhstan, members of the teaching and methodical association and a representative of the National Office of Erasmus + in Kazakhstan. Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business on Research-Innovation Affairs and International Relations, PhD, Coordinator of Erasmus + ENINEDU project Aknur Zhidebekkyzy made a presentation about the European experience in creating a system of interaction between universities and business sector.

 

  

 

Following issues were considered in the report:

  •   The legal framework that stimulates the interaction of universities and business sector in EU countries, as well as the relevant tax laws, conventions and standards;
  •  Prerequisites for the development of digital business at the Athens University of Economics and Business (Athens, Greece), well-coordinated work of structures, that act as a bridge between research work and companies;
  • Regional aspects of research development at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Santiago de Compostela, Spain), the role of the EMPRENDIA business center in creating spin-off companies;
  • Features of development of the University of Sopron (Sopron, Hungary), located in the border area, the system of dual training, "Employer Week", etc.
  • Conclusions and implementation of Erasmus + ENINEDU project in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 

 

 

As a result, the following was offered: 

  • Adoption of the “System Standard for Practices of Cooperation between Universities and Business Sector,” developed by the Erasmus + ENINEDU project team at the republican level;
  • Development and dissemination of methodical recommendations for a unified policy of interaction between universities and business sector based on European experience, as well as on the organization of the process for development of students entrepreneurship;
  • Prepare a rationale and proposals to the Ministry of Finance on tax incentives for enterprises, that cooperate with educational institutions on training employees;
  • Integrate all higher education institutions of the country into the “Youth and Career” Portal.

All proposals were included in the resolution of the Republican Educational and Methodical Council and will be sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted, that Erasmus + ENINEDU is the first project sharing the studied experience at the REMC meeting. To continue this tradition, it was proposed to invite other projects of Erasmus + program, thereby increasing the dissemination and visibility of projects at the republican level.
