On June 19, within the framework of the Erasmus project, a meeting was held with the representative of the insurance company Nomad Insurance Jumabaev Timur.

NJSC IC “Nomad Insurance” is one of the five leading companies of Kazakhstan on the property and casualty insurance market, insurance of civil liability, individual insurance and reinsurance. The Company is licensed to carry out voluntary and compulsory general insurance and reinsurance operations issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

            “NOMAD Insurance” Insurance Company was founded in 2004 and is still actively cooperating with the oil and gas, financial transport and communications, construction and real estate sectors, in the production and services sector.

            During the meeting the following issues were discussed:

1. We discussed issues related to the conclusion of a memorandum on mutual cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus project;

2. Experience of interaction with the insurance company and the possibility of using their practice in educational practice;

3. Cooperation with universities for the insurance company is positive. In connection with the rapid growth in demand for insurance products, there is an acute shortage of employees in the insurance sector every year. In this connection, young university graduates are included in the priority elections;

4. We discussed cooperation in the framework of various events, such as "Leaders' lectures", "Career Day", "Job Fair", organization of a conference, workshops, meetings, etc .;

5. We discussed cooperation in the framework of entrepreneurial courses;

6. Organization of student production practice and assistance in employment;

7. We discussed the possibility of participating in the development of curricula in the preparation of bachelors and undergraduates, the participation of representatives of the insurance company in the development of theses and master's degrees and participation in the SAC;

 Results of the meeting:

1. An agreement was reached on concluding a memorandum on mutual cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus project.

2. The possibility of participation in joint research projects, especially in the Erasmus project, was discussed;

3. Leadership lecture of the management of the insurance company is planned in the beginning of 2018-2019 academic year for students of the specialty "Finance";

4. An agreement was reached on the participation of representatives of the insurance company at the round-the-clock meetings and meetings within the framework of the project;

5. From the next academic year, the insurance company will accept a part of the students directed to the production practice and assist in the employment of graduates;

6. An agreement was reached to participate in the development of curricula for the preparation of bachelors and undergraduates, the participation of representatives of the insurance company in the development of theses and master's degrees and participation in the SAC;

In general, the representatives of the insurance company Nomad Insurance have shown a desire to cooperate actively with KazNU named after al-Farabi, in particular with the Higher School of Economics and Business in the framework of the Erasmus project in order to jointly train financial specialists, which is a prerequisite for the conformity of educational systems with modern European standards.
