Students of KazNU started the celebration of "Nauryz meiramy"

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University started the celebration of the “Nauryz meiramy”. On 20th of March, a festive event was held at the Center for Student Service "Keremet" with the participation of university management, students and foreign guests.
Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Mutanov Galymkair Mutanovich congratulated all present on the holiday and wished happiness and prosperity. Traditionally, the guests tasted Nauryz-kozhe and were satisfied with the concert program of our talented students.
Nauryz is one of the oldest holidays on Earth. This holiday of spring and the renewed life of the Earth has been celebrated for over five thousand years by many cultures of the Middle and Central Asia. For eastern nations, Nauryz is the same as New Year, as both holidays are messengers of a new life. Even the name of the holiday “Nauryz” is translated from Farsi as “new day”.
