A workshop was held on the development of a circular economy in Kazakhstan

On April 12, 2023, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The paradigm of sustainable economic development in the context of global change: challenges, consequences, opportunities”, organized by al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Higher School of Economics and Business, a workshop called "Current problems of the development of the circular economy in Kazakhstan" was held.

The workshop provided valuable discussions and the opportunity to share knowledge on topics such as the circular economy, climate change, waste sorting, and social responsibility.

A circular economy is an economic model that seeks to optimize the use of resources and minimize waste. It is based on the principles of sustainability and cyclicality in order to create a sustainable economic system.

Workshop speakers: deputy dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, PhD, associate professor Zhidebekkyzy Aknur, doctoral student Amangeldiyeva Birganym Askarkyzy, PhD, postdoctoral student Temerbulatova Zhansaya Serikovna, PhD, Head of the department of modern research methods of the Institute of Economics of the SC MSHE RK Moldabekova Aisulu Tursynbaevna and specially invited expert, ecologist, co-founder of the environmental public movement "Recycle BIRGE" in Almaty Sailaubekova Pakizat Nursultanovna shared their knowledge and experience.
