On April 11-12, 2023, within the framework of the II International Farabi Forum at the Higher School of Economics and Business, al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The paradigm of sustainable economic development in the context of global change: challenges, consequences, opportunities" was held.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, state and political figure of Kazakhstan, doctor of economic sciences, professor Karagusova G.Zh., Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karashukeyev Y.S., deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, VIII convocation Mukaev D.T., Rector of AlmaU, candidate of economic sciences, PhD Kurenkeyeva G.T., Rector of the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, candidate of economic sciences Temirbekova Zh.A., head of the department «Marketing» of RUDN University, candidate of economic sciences, professor Zobov A.M. spoke. In addition to domestic scientists, professors from leading universities in Finland, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan made presentations at the plenary session. Also, scientists from New Zealand, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Pakistan, and other countries made presentations and took part in discussions at section meetings.

More than 300 economists, researchers, and experts from 12 countries of the world gathered at the conference and shared the results of the study of the latest trends and news in the field of economic development.

Topics discussed included issues of the modern economy: business technologies in the context of sustainable development, digital transformation of the financial and accounting system, new management trends in turbulent conditions, and strategic priorities for economic development.

Also, representatives of the private sector and the business environment actively participated, and practical seminars and workshops were organized. The international scientific and practical conference, organized by the Higher School of Economics and Business, became an important event at which the issues of achieving sustainable development in the country's economy were discussed and the experience of professionals and stakeholders was exchanged.
