The Department of Physical Education and Sports has successfully passed international accreditation for all levels of training and received ACQUIN certificates.

The main goal of the department: Training highly qualified specialists in the field of physical education and sport that meet the most modern requirements, having full-fledged integrated knowledge with basic disciplines, formed skills, skills and high professional competence in the field of physical education, methods of teaching sports, control and correction of the preparedness of schoolchildren and the athletes needed by the teacher-coach.

The department has a material and technical base (classroom fund, computer classes, modern equipment for laboratory work in biomedical disciplines, stock materials, 6 gyms for sports, 3 gyms, 2 exercise therapy halls, a medical office, a stadium, 2 outdoor sports playgrounds, tennis court, swimming pool) complying with the current sanitary and technical standards and ensuring the conduct of all types of theoretical and practical training provided for by the curriculum, as well as the effective implementation of research and experimental research work of undergraduates and doctoral students.

The department actively cooperates with the Eurasian Association of Universities (Lomonosov Moscow State University), Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Yeltsin Ural Federal University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Dostoevsky Omsk State University.

Today, on May 17, 2021, the volleyball competition (men) of the XI Summer Universiade among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan ended on the basis of the MKTU named after H.A. Yassaui (Turkestan).

In the final game, our national team met with the home team, despite this our guys easily won the set with a score of 3: 0.

On May 16, 2021, the volleyball competition (women) of the XI Summer Universiade among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan ended, which took place on the basis of the sports complex of Al-Farabi KazNU. As a result of the team meetings, it was clear that our girls would be the first! Today, May 13, 2021, on the Zoom platform, an online meeting of teachers of the Department of Physical Education and Sports with college graduates of the Republican College of Sports of the city of Almaty took place.

Ulyana Kudryavtseva is a 4th year student of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the FКC Department, as part of the Kaspiy national team, they won the Championship title in the semifinal game.

The Kazakhstan Women's Basketball Championship was held in the city of Aktau from May 3 to May 8, 2021.

Zinabdin Altynshash, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine of the FCC Department, won the silver medal of the Kazakhstan Basketball Championship among women's teams in 2021, she plays in the Turan national team. The competition was held from 3 to 8 May 2021 in the city of Aktau.

The national team of KazNU named after al-Farabi in badminton became the champion, thus the first gold in the treasury of KazNU!
