International Conference "Respiratory Junction Almaty: Where East meets West"

Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, expresses you deep respect and invites you and the faculty of your university to take part in the International Conference "Respiratory Junction Almaty: Where East meets West". This conference will be held on April 1-2, 2019 in the framework of the annual forum "VI International Farabi Readings" of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

We are pleased to announce that the key speaker at the International Conference “Respiratory Junction Almaty: Where East meets West” 2019 will be one of the world's leading experts on COPD, Professor Claus Vogelmeier, MD, Director of Internal Medicine Clinic University of Gießen and Marburg, School of Medicine, Chair of Science Committee Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD), Member of the German Centre for Lung Research (DZL), professor of Clinic for Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Philipps-Universität Marburg (Marburg, Germany).

Within the framework of the International Conference, plenary and breakout sessions are scheduled, as well as a round table with the participation of Professor Claus Vogelmeier along with the leading pulmonologists of Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. The International Conference will discuss management of COPD in developed and developing countries, the use of computer algorithms for objective stratification of patients with COPD, experience of COPD management of general practitioners, as well as occupational COPD and COPD research methodology.
