In Almaty, from August 28 to September 1, 2019, the final of the XXIII Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan on beach volleyball among men's teams was held

In order to develop international cooperation and transfer new educational programs and technologies in the field of medicine, Ambassador Extraordinary And Plenipotentiary of Canada to Kazakhstan Nicholas Brusso, Commissioner for children's rights in Kazakhstan Aruzhan Sain and a delegation of the canadian McGill University visited al-Farabi Kazakh national University.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the potential for expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as opportunities for further bilateral partnership in the educational sphere.

In August 2019, the open TAMERLAN Grappling Championship was held in Almaty. 

From August 2 to 4, 2019, the 28th international tournament and Grand Prix in freestyle wrestling, dedicated to the memory of Vaclav Tsiolkovsky, took place in Warsaw (Poland).
