The Faculty of medicine and healthcare of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University became a participant in the project under the Erasmus + program: IMPROVEMENT OF CHILDREN CARE TEACHING AS A TEMPLATE FOR UPGRADING  MEDICAL EDUCATION IN CENTRAL ASIA – CHILDCA

Aim of the project:

-To improve the children care management in Central Asia through implementation of new circular and training strategies in order to reduce mortality and morbidity level among children and teens.

Objectives:

-Studying and analyzing user needs to improve postgraduate education in the field of childcare;
-Development of new curricula in the fields of pediatrics care, pediatric surgery and pediatric neuropsychiatry based on the best practices of European partners;
-Training of academic staff involved in the implementation of the new integrated curriculum;
-Create an interactive platform for effective virtual interaction between partner universities and distance learning project participants;
-To ensure the process that will guarantee that results of a project meets the established standards and objectives (M & E Plan);
-Dissemination and publication of project results.

Expected results:

-Outputs will be new curricula and new training strategies devoted to an integrated, holistic care in the fields of pediatrics care, pediatric surgery and pediatric neuropsychiatry, harmonized with those adopted in EU countries and aiming to achieve the same, in line with similar ones already adopted in EU countries, and aimed at achieving the same results;
-It is expected that at the end of the project it will be possible to form a mechanism that will reduce the number of infant mortality and a substantial increase in life expectancy at birth for the populations of partner Countries.
