Cooperation with the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control is a guarantee of the training of qualified personnel

         The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassymzhomart Kemelevich Tokayev, in his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, singled out the development of the healthcare system as one of the main directions, and within the framework of the pandemic, the specialty “public health” has gained particular relevance.

      On May 30, 2022, within the walls of the largest university in the country, a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed between NAO “Kazakh National University named after. al-Farabi” and RSU “Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the City of Almaty of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The purpose of the Memorandum is to achieve close interaction, develop partnerships in the scientific and educational field and joint training of personnel, conduct educational, industrial and undergraduate practice.

      The parties noted the importance and timeliness of signing this document for the quality training of public health professionals, ensuring the principle of the trinity of education, science and practice in the face of global challenges facing the healthcare system both in the Republic of Kazakhstan and globally. After all, these are the specialists who ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population; carrying out, organizing and coordinating measures to promote a healthy lifestyle, planning and implementing preventive and anti-epidemic measures in the foci of infectious diseases, developing management decisions in the field of public health.
