Volleyball in the snow
From 20 to 22 December at the Water Stadium in Moscow, the European championship in snow volleyball took place.
More than 30 teams played snow volleyball for the first time under the new rules: each team had not two, but three people. Among the participants are famous athletes from leading European countries, as well as teams from the USA and Brazil. National team of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi Beach Volleyball for the first time participating in the snow volleyball took the 5th place, the composition of the team 2nd year undergraduate Oteulina Madina and 4th year student Smagul Ayganim with a degree in Physical Education and Sport. Snow volleyball is a fairly young sports discipline, its popularity is growing rapidly, as is the prospect of being included in the program of the Winter Olympic Games. In 2022, it is planned to attend the Games as an indicative discipline, and in 2026 - as part of a competitive program.
