This year from August 19 to August 26 for the first time in Almaty and in the history of the CIS countries the world futsal championship among students will be held at Almaty Arena and Halyk Arena. It is planned to participate in the strongest futsal world teams, such as the teams of Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Poland, Thailand, Iran, Russia, Ukraine. Kazakhstan applied for participation in the women's and men's competitions. In total 16 men's and 12 women's teams of the whole continent will take part in the championship, this is more than 500 participants, which is a record indicator of this tournament. The 2018 World Championship is organized by the Federation of student’s sports in the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Student League. It should be noted that the main goal of the NSL established in 2014 on the initiative of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people. Since the creation, the NSL systematically expands geography, annually increasing the number of participants and interested persons. Currently the NSL covers all regions of Kazakhstan, combining Universities, colleges and promote healthy lifestyle among students.
