National Olympiad in the Chinese language Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
Faculty of Oriental Studies
In order to improve language acquisition, deployment and development of the creative potential of students studying Chinese language, to awaken interest and activity for learning, as well as for the incrimination of cooperation between higher education institutions teaching the Chinese language department of Chinese Studies Faculty of Oriental Studies, Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi jointly with the Confucius Institute at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, March 30 this year carries the Republican Olympics of Chinese language among students in higher education.
In the competition, students may attend 3-4 courses studying Chinese in high schools.
Warning: The compatriots returning to their historic homeland of China to participate in the competition are not allowed.
The Olympics consist of 2 rounds:
Until March 10 this year Higher education institutions, which is Chinese, by the internal selection to determine the participants (2-3 people from each university) Olympiad. Wishing to participate in this Contest must submit an application to the Organizing Committee before 20 March this year. Volunteers from other regions of Kazakhstan may send their applications by email.
1 st round (written part): Writing test on grammar of Chinese. TREASURY, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies, March 30, 10-13.00 am.
Test job on the grammar of Chinese language is targeted at 5-6 support height Exam HSK. The test has been prepared by Chinese Confucius Institute. One of three assignments in sealed envelopes will be disclosed before a tour in the presence of participants and jury members. To perform the test tasks assigned to 1 hour. The first 10 participants on the test results will proiti the next round.
2 nd Round: (selection and disclosure of themes): the Treasury, Department of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies. March 30, 14-16.00 am.
The participant chooses one of the suggested topics and will have to verbally disclose the topic for 2-3 minutes. (Set in order is given in advance) Just contestant must answer two questions the jury on the content of speech.
The jury, consisting of staff of the Embassy of China, experts from the Confucius Institute and representatives of major Chinese companies in Kazakhstan determine the winner of the Olympics through a points system, paying attention to (including) pronunciation of the language, the ability of the topic, the correct and witty answers to questions. Winners (1-6 places) will receive valuable gifts and diplomas.
