Opening of the Turkology Center
4 October 4, 2012 The Ceremonial opening of the Turkology Center was held on the Oriental Studies Faculty’s Chair of Turkology and Indology. The event was visited by: Vice Rector for scientific-innovative work, doctor of physic-mathematical sciences, professor RamazanovTleukabylSabitovich, consul assistant of Turkish Republic in Almaty Mustafa Altay Sonmez, culture attaché of the Republic of Turkey Nilgun Kilicarslan, coordinator for the Republic of Turkey in Kazakhstan Mr. EvrenRutbil, chairman of international fund “YunusEmre” IgrahimYildir, editor of the paper “Turkic World” AhmetDagdoran, the dean of the Oriental Studies Faculty Jubatova Bayan Nursultanovna, the Head of the Chair of Turkology and Indology AvakovaRaushanAmirdinovna, as well as the teachers and students of the chair. The Chair expressed its gratitude to the Turkish side for permanent assistance in giving an opportunity for teachers and students teaching in the best universities of Turkey and also for assistance in equipping the Center of Turkology and other Turkish language class-rooms. In the frames of event the students of the Chair showed a small concert for the guests. The sang songs, read poems, played dombra. The ceremony was held in atmosphere of friendship. The basic key of the meeting is support of friendly relations between two brother Turkic countries – Kazakhstan and Turkey.
