Chupekov Abdugali Absalievich is celebrating 80 anniversary
The well-known specialist in Turkic philology, pride of the University, a veteran of labor, a great teacher Chupekov Abdugali Absalievich celebrates this year his 80th anniversary.His research and achievements are enormous.
In 1966-1972 yearsChupekov A.Aworked as dean of the Faculty of History of full-time at the KazGU named afterKirov, and in 1972-1984 years as a head of the Department of General History of the named University.
In 1983-1987 hecontinued his work as a dean of the correspondence department of History Faculty, in 1989 he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of General History.
The well-known scientist, professor, making a huge contribution to establishment of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in 1989, worked in KazNU named after al-Farabi, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of History of Asia and Africa.
In 1992-1995.was a dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
In 1999, Chupekov A.A. was elected as a member of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Total experience of Chupekov A.A. in the university is 64 years, including 58 years dedicated to continuous research and teaching.A prominent historian and orientalist, specialist in Turkic philology and teacher is well known not only for our university but also outside it.He is one of the first who lectured on the history of Africa and Asia in the institutions of higher education as KazGU, KazPI and JenPI.
For an active research and teaching, social and political activity on May 30, 1984 Chupekova A.Awas awarded a diploma of the Higher Council of the KSR, on February 11, 2002 Diploma of Akim of Almaty, on December 7 2004, Certificate of Merit of the Republic of Kazakhstan.In 1968 he was awarded a triple Medal "For development of virgin lands," in 1988, the medal "Labour Veteran", and in 1970 he was awarded the medal "For Special Services".
In August 31, 2004 awarded a medal "50 years virgin soil."
Chupekov A.A. during his research, "national liberation movements of Middle Eastern peoples and the social-economic development", has published 150 scientific articles, several books and monographs.
As an experienced teacher Chupekov A.A. wasinvolved in the group of authors to write textbooks for classes 9/10/11 "World History" in the Kazakh and Russian languages for schools.
