International Kazakhstan-Korean forum at Oriental Studies Faculty
On December, 8th, 2009 at oriental studies faculty the International Kazakhstan -Korean scientific conference «Republic Kazakhstan and Republic Korea has taken place: from an establishment of diplomatic relations to strategic partnership»
Its organizers the Center and chair корееведения Treasury of al-Farabi and Institute of the central-Asian researches of Hanguk University of Foreign Studies (Seoul).
With a welcoming speech mister Lee Yang Goo and the vice-president of Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan the professor Kan of Century have acted the Consul general of embassy of Republic Korea
Professors have taken part in conference from South Korea, and also the Kazakhstan scientists from research institutes of Astana and Almaty, and also teachers of high schools of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
In plenary session three reports have sounded. Professor Son En Hun who has worked of some years on chair корееведения at our university, is nowadays the manager. Chair of the central-Asian languages of Hanguk University of Foreign Studies. Therefore its report «Stimulation of cultural mutual understanding and interchange between Korea and Kazakhstan» has sounded in the Kazakh language. The great interest has caused the report «Modern image of South Korea in Kazakhstan and a way of its increase», prepared Rakisheva Botagoz (director Programm of Institute of sociopolitical researches) and Tukaeva Dariga (the head of international department (IsPi-Kazakhstan), Astana. Prof. Kim G. N has acted on a theme « Korean diaspora in strategic partnership of Kazakhstan and South Korea».
At conference three sections worked:
1. POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS
2. COOPERATION IN SPHERE OF CULTURE, FORMATION, THE SCIENCE
3. The KOREAN DIASPORA In RELATIONS BETWEEN Kazakhstan And Korea on which 14 reports have been heard.
At final session discussion on key questions of a theme of conference has been spent, with questions to the Korean and Kazakhstan scientists students of chair корееведения have addressed.
Participants of conference unanimously recognized an urgency and productivity of the spent researches, and also the scientifically-practical importance of the spent forum. The program and reports are published in the collection of materials of conference, therefore the wide range of interested persons can familiarize with them more.
