A business trip was undertaken by Al-Farabi KazNU scientists to the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires, Nancy, France.

The purpose of the business trip was to conduct collaborative scientific research as outlined in the project schedule of AR09259491, titled “Biotechnology Utilizing Polysaccharide Matrix with Probiotic Biofilms for the Production of Combined Dairy Products” within the framework of SDGs 2. Zero Hunger and 12. Responsible consumption and production, as well as the development of cooperation and expansion of interaction with foreign partners according to the criteria of QS World University Rankings. The results obtained from the collaborative research would be incorporated into a publication in a journal with an impact factor of no less than 80.

During the business trip on September 12, negotiations were held with the management of ENSAIA University regarding the Double Degree Program in BioWare (Master's) between ENSAIA University and Biotechnology (Master's) at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Annually, master's students undergo one-year education in the city of Nancy as part of the Abai-Verne program at ENSAIA, and also complete their practical training in leading scientific institutions and production enterprises in France.

This year, six master's students from the Department of Biotechnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, specializing in Biotechnology, received two diplomas each. In the future, these students plan to enroll in doctoral programs and continue their research activities, which they initiated during their studies in France.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to extend the contract for education in the Double Degree Program until 2025. Following the completion of the business trip, an article about the visit of the delegation from KazNU was published in the CroQ infos newspaper.
