On December 18, 2023, at 14.00, 4th–year students of the specialty "Biotechnology" with curator Atabayeva S.D. held a curatorial hour on SDG 7. "Inexpensive and clean energy" on the topic "Biogas is a natural energy source"

The purpose of the event: To justify the production of biogas as an alternative energy source that allows them to be fully processed into energy and fuel to reduce the burden on the budget and increase the prestige of agriculture? As well as the formation of the desire of young biotechnologists to develop new technologies for obtaining alternative energy sources

The students prepared a presentation.  The technology of biogas production was described in the presentation. The advantages of using biogas were demonstrated. The formation of biogas reduces the release of methane into the atmosphere in large quantities. Methane has a greater negative impact on the greenhouse effect than CO2, and remains in the atmosphere for up to 12 years. The use of methane in the processing of biogas is one of the ways to prevent global warming.  Processing of agricultural products, its use as fertilizers, does not load groundwater.
