ELIMINATION OF HUNGER: FOOD SAFETY

On April 14, 2023, at the Department of Biotechnology, students and undergraduates discussed one of the Sustainable Development Goals - "eliminating hunger, promoting food safety". Food safety is a condition in which people have sufficient physical and economic access to safe food for a healthy lifestyle. The task of each country is to provide citizens with safe food and achieve liberation from hunger. Despite the fact that special attention is paid to food security in the country, some problems of farmers still remain unresolved, there is a high import dependence on certain types of food products (poultry meat, fish, sausage, fruit, sugar, milk powder). To solve these issues, it became necessary to put agriculture on the path of sustainable development, and its development potential is very high. In this regard, the graduate students of our department Beisebek Zh., Temirzhanova D., Mazbayeva D., Muratbekova A. shared their opinions, expressed their suggestions.
