On February 15, 2023, at 14:00, 3rd year students and the curator of the BT-20.01 group of specialty 6В050103 - Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biology and
Bitechnology Malik A.M. held a curatorial hour on the topic “Elimination ofhunger”.The purpose of the event. To analyze the problems of hunger and foodshortages that arise in the world, to consider ways to solve these problems usingmodern scientific achievements.The students prepared a presentation related to the food shortage in theworld, what actions should be taken to solve this problem. Despite the fact that thisproblem is not getting much worse in the country, many states are struggling withthis situation. The World Food and Agriculture Organization calls for thenecessary measures to be taken. They are designed to meet the urgent food needsof vulnerable segments of the population, strengthen social protection programs,continue the global food trade and help small farmers increase food production.The students discussed the contribution of biotechnologies to the prevention andsolution of this problem. They shared their opinion about the importance of manynecessary biotechnological products.
