April 6-8, 2023, at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the next International Scientific Conference of students and young scientists "Farabi Alemi" was held.

In total, 90 theses were accepted on the section "Actual problems of biology and biodiversity conservation", organized by the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, including 2 theses from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute of Botany, Tashkent, Uzbekistan; 1 thesis from the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, Tashkent city, Uzbekistan; 2 theses from the East Kazakhstan University named after S. Amanzholov, Ust-Kamenogorsk; 1 thesis from the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Tashkent city, Uzbekistan. Tashkent, Uzbekistan; 2 theses from S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Ust-Kamenogorsk; 1 thesis from Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Almaty; 1 thesis from Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University, Almaty; 1 thesis from Narkhoz University, Almaty; 1 thesis from Narkhoz University, Almaty. At the meeting of the section "Actual problems of biology and biodiversity conservation" of the international conference of students and young scientists "Farabi әlemi" 11 reports were heard.

8 reports from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty.

All scientific work had high relevance and novelty, the results of the work were carried out in accordance with the goals and objectives of the work, and there was a high proportion of participants in terms of results and analysis of the work. All participants were awarded certificates of participation. The best speakers were awarded with diplomas and prizes.

Diploma for the first place in the section "Actual problems of biology and conservation of biodiversity" for presentation to the Rector's diploma was awarded to a 4^th year student of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi - Diana Kozhakhmetova, the topic of the report: «Study of the effect of nitrates and nitrites on the embryogenesis of Danio Rerio».

Diploma for second place in the section "Actual problems of biology and biodiversity conservation" was awarded to a 1st-year student of Narkhoz University - Yerkinuly Edil., the topic of the report: " Literary review of the distribution of some species listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan" and 4th year student of METU Tursynaly Shyryn, the topic of the report: "Study of the effect of bioactive additives based on microalgae on growth parameters of tilapia fish".

Diplomas for third place in the section "Actual problems of biology and biodiversity conservation" were awarded:

4^th year student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - Zhamanbai Alma. The topic of the report: "Study of the effects of pesticides on the cardiovascular system of rats".

4^th year student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - Berik Zhibek. The topic of the report: " Anatomical features of the species Halimodendron halodendron (Pall.) Voss".

4^th year student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - Duisebayeva Zhanel. The topic of the report: " Study of the anatomical structure of the leaf Alhagi pseudalhagi (M.Bieb.) Desv".

Head of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor Kurmanbayeva Meruert Sakenovna, congratulated all the participants and wished the young scientists creative success in their scientific activities. The conference "Farabi Alemi" can become a starting environment for you, where you can exchange experiences by familiarizing yourself with research projects. All members of the commission wished further success to the young scientists.
