With the aim of forming deep knowledge of students about sustainable development under the leadership of the UN. department of Korean medicine Zhakhanovoy Z.A. and zav. Department of Japanese Studies Tazabekova G.B. at the department of the Far East, a brain-ring was held among students of the 3rd year of the educational program "Vostokovedenie" on the topic "Protection of marine ecosystems and terrestrial ecosystems". 

November 23, 2023 at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty and under the supervision of professor Lee Byong Jo held a Korean language knowledge competition as part of the Korean Studies Week.

November 21, 2023 at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, a quiz “Me and Korea” was held, organized by the professor Lee Byong Jo and students.

On November 20, 2023, in the Al-Farabi Library, at the Kazakh National University, a seminar was held by a visiting foreign professor, PhD Sakurai Tomonobu, on the topic “Sports training based on the scientific characteristics of muscles.”

On November 20, 2023, the “Korean Studies Week” event started at the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies).

On November 16, 2023, an event on the theme “K-CULTURE DAY” was held at the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies), focused on 1 course. The event was prepared by professor Lee Byong Jo and students of 1 course. 

For the purpose of partnership for sustainable development at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, on November 10, 2023, visiting professor of the Institute of Asian Studies of KazNU Kim Chang Jin, professor of Songonghwe University, Faculty of Social Sciences, gave a special lecture for 3rd-4th year students and 1st and 2nd year graduate students of the Korean department, Department of the Far East.

In April 2023, I arrived in Hokkaido, Japan, in the city of Sapporo, located in the northern part of the country, to participate in an academic mobility program at Hokkaido University.
