The Department of Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine - the Higher School of Public Health of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi held a JOURNAL CLUB. Discussions took place in the format "Journal club",in the center of the discussion was an experimental scientific article. The Journal club took place in an informal atmosphere, which facilitated an open conversation. 

Format of the seminar: Speaker - Assistant professor of biostatistics and evidence-based medicine, Phd Vinnikov Denis Vladimirovich presented his article in the form of a structured abstract "structured abstracts", describing the purpose, methods, results and scientifically substantiated conclusions of the research in a reproducible, accurate and understandable form. The representative briefly outlined the introduction to the problem, substantiated the experimental design of the work and showed the logic of the construction of the study. After that, the speaker presented an overview of the methodological part. In the main part of the presentation - a detailed analysis of the experimental data obtained in the illustrations shown in the article. The main attention was paid to the adequacy of the methods used to solve the problem posed, the correctness of the conclusions and the possibility of alternative interpretations. During the presentation, the participants asked questions and expressed their views on the data presented in the article and the interpretations of the results obtained.
