On the eve of the bright holiday Nauryz, which marks not only the spring equinox, but also the renewal of nature, at the Department of Biomedical Statistics and Evidence Medicine of the Medical Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, a discussion of the scientific article "Meta-analysis of the effect of tertiary cancer on the tragedy of trauma patients" was held at the second meeting of the Journal Club on March 17, 2018. A doctorate in public health specialty Kozhakhmetov Temirkhan delivered a report.

Analysis of scientific articles is the most important part of the work of scientists. Reading the articles of other authors, you can find new topics or be inspired by ideas. As they say, the creative is two other people's thoughts, which the third person managed to formulate correctly.

As we grow and gain experience in this field, we learn to evaluate the text of other authors, to find errors in them. Evaluation of another author's article makes it possible to avoid own mistakes in the future. Therefore, such meetings are simply necessary for us as air!

Discussion of the proposed article affected not only the quality of publication, the quality of the study, the design of the study, but details of the provision of medical care to patients with polytrauma in foreign countries, in Kazakhstan, the need for a tertiary study of these patients.

The Journal Club is open for visiting by students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers of the departments of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, as well as other, researchers of the research institutes.
