Teacher of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University GD Kuziyeva passed the author's course “Applied Psychology of Health” by professors A. Garber and K. Rechke from Germany, where issues of human behavior in stress — theory, diagnostics, stress management strategies, etc. — were covered. The burden of chronic non-communicable diseases is increasing throughout the world, although many of them could have been prevented. Health psychology makes an enormous contribution to the primary prevention of diseases, helping to reduce the risk factors for diseases in populations, detecting specific types of behavior and directing them to change. Health psychology is a young and actively developing branch of psychology that relates to patients with various diseases and promotes healthy behavior in the practice of a doctor.
