Astana Marathon 2018

September 16, 2018 in Astana ended the annual charity marathon Astana Marathon 2018, which this year entered the Association of International Marathons and Runs (AIMS). Applications for participation were submitted by 4 661 people from 37 cities of Kazakhstan and foreign countries: Germany, Russia, Japan, Italy, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates, Sweden, South Korea, Great Britain, USA, Kyrgyzstan, France, Turkey, Australia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Georgia, Luxembourg, Spain, Belarus, Malaysia and Finland. The organizers of the marathon have developed the route in such a way as to show the main attractions of the city to the runners: Peace Palace, Hazret Sultan Mosque, Baiterek, Nazarbayev University, Astana Arena. Astana Marathon 2018 participants were offered 42.2 and 10 km distances. In the race for a distance of 10 km the strongest were the runners from Kenya 1 place Norah Djeruto and 2nd place Daisy Jepkemey. The third place was won by Svetlana Saunina, a 2nd-year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports". Congratulations!
