As a part of the retraining cycle "Public Healthcare", “Organization of Healthcare", organized Faculty of Medicine and Health Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Akmola Healthcare Department associate Professor of the Department of Politics and Organization Maulenova Bakhyt Nusifovna were lectured about legal issues of medicine. Deputy Chief Physicians, doctors of hospitals and clinics of the Akmola region attended this cycle: Kokshetau, Arshaly, Stepnogorsk, Burabay, Zerenda, Ereymentau, Zhaksy and others.

     November 12-14, 2018 at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, who is an important partner of the United Nations in addressing the global challenges of our time, hosts an international conference “Transnational Threats, Terrorism and Security Problems” with the participation of diplomats from the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Kazakhstan, being one of the 57 OIC member states, participates in the fight against terrorism in the international arena and is a leader in the preservation of peace. Lecturer of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, KNU named after Al-Farabi, Kuziyeva Gulmira, with undergraduates of the 1st course of scientific and pedagogical direction visited this large-scale event and received a lot of useful information.

     Competitiveness in the labor market requires continuous improvement of the knowledge of employees of medical organizations, the acquisition and grinding of already acquired skills. The quality and effectiveness of the organizational structure of a medical organization is directly dependent on the literacy and professionalism of specialists. The modern world is unthinkable without immunoprophylaxis, which is the main event in reducing and eliminating infectious diseases. Today, a week-long refresher course for nurses “Current Issues of Immunoprophylaxis” was completed, which was conducted at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. All students of the course successfully completed training and received certificates, which were officially handed over to students by the dean of the faculty, doctor of medical sciences, professor Kalmatаyeva Zh.A.

Education at the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, besides the high quality of education, gives students the opportunity to go in for sports before starting classes on simulators located on a pedestrian alley on Timiryazev Street. Besides the fact that sports activities have a beneficial effect on the entire body, it contributes to the development of the hormone of happiness. Students from the course on immunoprophylaxis from Atyrau, Temirtau and Almaty visited the sights of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, walked along the alleys, visited the library, museums, and the Keremet student service center. The advanced training course “Actual issues of immunoprophylaxis” was conducted for nurses of clinics at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi

Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine Raushanova AM in the city of Atyrau held lectures and seminars in the disciplines of "Organization and management of health care" and "Corporate governance in public health services" under the program of a graduate magistracy within the framework of distance learning.

N. Dauletbaev is a research doctor, pulmonologist, and specialist in personalized medicine, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University McGill (Canada). He gave a series of lectures for undergraduates of the specialty “Medicine” on the following topics:

Professor Nurlan Dauletbayev is the author of more than 30 scientific articles (Hirsch index: 15). For the lecture, professor invited the expert of NCNGTA, who gave basic information about the availability of scientific and medical literature in Kazakhstan

In addition, together with the educational and methodological center of Almaty, N. Dauletbayev conducted a pilot project in order to train medical and nursing staff in working with electronic databases of evidence-based medicine.

         On November 7, the period of approval of the dissertation plans of undergraduates of all specialties began at the Interdepartmental Council of the Faculty of Medicine and Health of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where students showed the main content of the planned dissertation and briefly revealed the content of the dissertation work.
