The Department of Foreign Languages of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an online online scientific-practical conference for master students "Improving skills for professional development" on the platform Zoom. The conference of more than 70 young researchers from near and far abroad has become a platform for the exchange of ideas and scientific developments. The peculiarity of this event is that all speakers presented the results of their work in English.

A meeting was held with students of the specialty “6b05102 Biology " with the participation of the dean and deputy deans, senior curator-adviser of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology.

The meeting began with a concert program of students and continued with a congratulatory speech by the dean of the faculty – Zayadan Bolatkhan Kazykhanuly. During the concert program, students from Kazakhstan and abroad made sincere congratulations, performed kui, and read poems.

For specialists of the winery "Arba wine" Kairmanova G.K. (Leading researcher of the Research Institute "Problems of Ecology") held a seminar-seminar "Microbiology of spontaneous fermentation", 29.09.2020 

On April 2, at 16:30, the third master class of the “Teacher's Digital Workshop” project will take place. Its theme is “Working with the Miro / Mindmeister Interactive Whiteboard and Preparing an Interactive Presentation with Canva”. The instructor of the master class is Rakhmatullaeva Dinara Zhaksylykovna, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Al-Farabi KazNU.

In the "Digital Workshop" teachers share their best practices for distance learning, master new digital tools. We learn from each other, discuss and solve the problems of "remote control" all together.

03/20/2021 at 17-00 on the ZOOM platform online 4th year students of the specialty "Biotechnology" and curator-adviser A.Zh. Zhuniszhan hosted a festive curatorial hour "Kosh keldin, Аz-Nauryz".

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded the winners of the competition "THE BEST UNIVERSITY LECTURER - 2020". 623 applicants from 73 higher educational institutions of the republic, including our University, took part in the competition. 18 teachers of our university, became the owners "The Best University Lecturer-2020" title. The winners of the competition are given the opportunity to undergo a scientific internship at the world's leading universities in order to improve their qualifications.

Berzhanova Ramza Zhainabekovna - candidate of biological sciences (2006), associate professor (2021). R. Zh. Berzhanova’s more than 45 works have been published, of which 7 patents, 35 articles of which 6 scientific articles with an impact factor, indexed in Web of Science: "Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology" (impact factor 3.8, Q1), "International Journal Phytoremediation" ( impact factor 2.568, Q2). Articles are included in the first and second quartiles (Q21 - Q2) of the Web of Science database. Hirshi index 4. R.Zh. Berzhanova’s scientific and pedagogical experience is over 18 years.

Ramza Zhainabekovna collaborates with the Institute of Microbiology, Dr. Annette Mikolosh, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University, as well as Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Anna Yurievna Muratova, Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Plants and Microorganisms of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Saratov. Joint publications have been prepared in a foreign peer-reviewed scientific journal.
