10 December 2021 the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law at KazNU arranged a round table on the issues of integrating migrant children in basic education. The participants discussed, among other things, such issues as the current national regulation of the process of obtaining basic education, experiences of migrant children in obtaining basic education in states-recipients, as well as the significance of supporting teaching of and in various mother tongues in primary school. Among the participants were the staff of the department as well as the invited scholar, Dr. Mariya Riekkinen of Åbo Akademi University, Finland.
